Fairbanks, AK - Alaska Salmon Bake and The Palace Theater

Thursday, July 6, 2017 - continued

This evening for dinner we decided to go to the Alaska Salmon Bake that was recommended to us.  After dinner we planned to see a musical at the Palace Theater.  Both places are in Pioneer Park.

The Salmon Bake advertised all-you-can-eat slow-roasted prime rib, fire-grilled Salmon & beer-battered Alaskan Cod. A salad bar, drinks and dessert were also included in the price.
We did not take pictures.  I guess we were hungry.  We might be a bit picky also, because we thought the cod had too much batter, the prime rib had no flavor and the salmon was covered in a sugary sauce none of which we liked.  The salad bar was the best part of the meal. We did share a table with 2 couples from Belgium and that was fun!

Above we are looking at the stage in the Palace Theater from the back of the room.  Below we are looking at the back of the room from the front. Very authentically decorated.

Just before the show is ready to start we are having too much fun!  Not sure why my hair looks so light in color.

Above and below are just a couple of pictures from the musical.  It was really cute and the singers were good.
The show was about Fairbanks start and roots.

This is a close to a sunset as we get here.  This was about 11pm.  I sat there for a while and watched the sun skim the tops of the trees moving from left to right.  The sun appears to make a small circle overhead as the day progresses.
