We spent 2 nights at Kennewick at a VERY nice RV park named Columbia Sun RV Park , but it was extremely smokey from wildfires the whole time we were there so did not do any sightseeing. We could hardly see the surrounding mountains. This morning we are headed to Baker City, OR hoping to get out of the smoke.
As you can see, we are out of the smoke. Our route takes us through beautiful agricultural areas. I took this through the windshield of the coach.
Then we got into more trees on the hillsides. It was a beautiful drive.
This is our campsite at the Mtn. View RV Park for the next 3 nights over the Labor Day weekend. We have a shady spot and it is mostly level. The sites are not as wide as the previous park but are adequate.
We are on the Oregon Trail. The office and connected building are fashioned to the era. They are very cute. The following pictures are of the park.
There is also a swimming pool. Being Labor Day weekend, there are lots of children here. The pool is full of children so we are not there. We plan to start our exploring tomorrow.
