Today we woke to heavy smoke in the air in Ogden, UT.
This is what we woke up to. A new wildfire did start yesterday afternoon just south of Ogden which caused much more smoke.
This is downtown Salt Lake as we drove through.
A little south of downtown we could barely see the mountains. We are hoping that by the time we get farther south the smoke will clear.
Here's our home to the next 2 nights. Look we have blue skies and enough sun to create shadows.
We were going to charcoal a steak but the wind picked up a lot and looked like it was going to rain. We decided to go to Mom's Cafe.
According to all the newspaper clippings etc on the walls, Mom's is pretty famous. Mom's was written up in the book Eat your way across the USA, in a National Geographic magazine, in Oprah's O magazine and many newspaper articles.
Several celebrities have eaten here and left signed pictures. Our dinner was delicious and plentiful. We were glad we ate there.
Back at the Butch Cassidy RV Park we explored their small bird aviary.
The peacock was strutting around earlier but was put away for the evening by the time I got my camera. These are the best pictures of all I took.
Well tomorrow we plan more exploring of this town and surrounding area.
