Play time with Rux including roundtrip travels

Jan 19-29, 2018

Los Alamos was expecting a snow storm the weekend we were going there, so we left Quartzsite a day early (Friday noon) and went to Los Alamos a day early.  Of course we couldn't miss our grandson's 2nd birthday party.

We drove part way on Friday afternoon to Snowflake AZ.
Friday afternoon, we drove through the Salt River Canyon. Here we stopped at the Salt River Bridge rest area.

We left about 7am the next morning headed for Los Alamos.

We had been on the road only about 45 mins when we came across 3 large bull elks on the road.  They split up as we approached. One went left and the other 2 went right. What a beautiful sight so early in the morning! Feeling blessed!!

This is the San de Christo mountainsnear Santa Fe NM. We were glad we arrived before the snow storm hit.

We got to keep Rux at home with us, while James and Jessica worked, for the week we were there.  We had lots of fun playing.

He got this glider bike for Christmas. It warmed up to 40F today so we went outside in the afternoon.  He really enjoyed riding his bike.

Here Rux is in his "boat" with his best friend Maggie.

Feeding himself breakfast.  He is growing up soooooo fast!

 Big boy flannel PJs.

After bath and wearing his watch like Papa Tic.

More outside fun!

We had such a fantastic time playing with Rux! I decided to put his birthday celebration in a separate post.
