More Sunsets at Desert Gardens, Florence, AZ

Monday, April 18, 2016

During our evening walk tonight, the Lord blessed us with the siting of this American Kestrel.
Beautiful falcon.  It is the smallest and most colorful falcon in North America. Hunting for insects and other small prey in open territory, kestrels perch on wires or poles, or hover facing into the wind, flapping and adjusting their long tails to stay in place.

The setting sun lit this cactus beautifully!

No clouds and little wind so no dust in the sky tonight.  Awesome!

Tonight the moon is getting close to full.  We are so blessed to see so much of God's glory!

Out for our evening walk again.
This saguaro looks like it has curly hair on top.  They are actually little flower buds.

What a beautiful cloud formation!

This little bird stopped pruning itself just long enough for Tic to get a picture.

This Gambel Quail was calling out to others as we walked by.  Males and females both sport a bobbing black topknot of feathers.

Both above and below show another beautiful sunset tonight.

The moon looks full even if it is not quite per the calendar.

Dusty took a walk by herself tonight.  She did not take the camera so the only camera she had was her 3 year old cell phone.

This raptor was perched in this saguaro.
This is as close as my phone would take the picture.  I'm not sure what kind of rapture this is.

No sunset pictures.  However the moon is full tonight.  In this picture the moon is still low in the sky so the sand in the air is coloring it.

We are truly blessed to be able to enjoy so much of God's Glory!
