Myrtle Beach, SC April 12-15, 2014

It took us about 2 1/4 hrs to get from Hollywood, SC to Lakewood in Myrtle Beach, SC.  We arrived about 11:15am on Saturday.
We took minimum time to set up.  Here is our view of the Atlantic Ocean from our site.
We took off for our son's house.  Unfortunately our grandson had a fever and so neither of the grandchildren stayed with us on Saturday night.
Since the grandchildren could not be with us, we decided to eat seafood out.  We found this restaurant with a simulated pirate ship in the middle.  Since it was a buffet we expected about $20 per person BUT it was $30 per person.  Much more expensive than we had expected.  We won't do that again.  $70 after tip for 2 people.

Sunday morning we went to the church service held here at Lakewood.  The beach was in the background.  It was awesome to see God's glory in the background during the sermon.
This is the beach view just outside the amphitheater where the church service was held.
Our son and daughter-in-law brought them, their bicycles and toys to us on Sunday after churchI fixed hamburgers for all of us.  After my son and his wife left, we took the grandchildren swimming.
The water was cold and Nana would not get more than her feet wet.  After playing in the swimming pool they decided to slide down the water slides.
There were 3 different slides.  Only the blue and purple one let people come down on tubes.  The Grandchildren choose that slide first.

The red and yellow slide was the longest and windy.
The orange and blue slide was the shortest and fastest. Grandson was "flying".
The grandchildren slept in the next morning.  I started making coffee and making noise and it still took 30 minutes to get them stirring.  After pancakes and sausage for breakfast, we all went to the shower facilities and showered there.  This is Tuesday April 15 and a rainy day.  We decided to go to the movie and see God's Not Dead.  It was very emotional and our grandson sobbed hard at the end.  He could not tell us why.  I believe Jesus filled him.
After the movie and lunch it appeared that they rain had stopped so we decided to ride our bicycles to play putt putt.
Shortly after the above picture it suddenly started raining again.  We did not finish our putt putt game.  Instead we went inside the market next door where they had an ice cream parlor also.
We all enjoyed some Blue Bell ice cream.  It had stopped raining while we were eating so we hopped on our bicycles and before we got 5 feet it started raining hard.  We were all soaked by the time we got back to the coach.  We made pizza for dinner.  Then took off to play bingo.
With some hassle about the $2 gift we were supposed to bring, we were not allowed to actually win a prize.  However,  our granddaughter got the first bingo and could not say anything.  Later two different times two older people won and offered the kids to pick prizes.  They each got a prize to come home with.  That was really nice.
