This morning we are moored at Lahaina, Maui.
As we pulled into the bay, before we moored, it was an overcast day. Due to the shallow bay, we cannot dock, so must be tendered in.
This is one of several of the tender boats that brought everyone ashore.
Our tour today is 8.5 hrs and started at the Iao Valley State Momument. There are lots of pictures.
This is a stream running through the park. I could look down on it from where I was standing in the picture above.
We are at a high elevation and rain is threatening here, Makes for beautiful pictures.
This is the view looking the opposite direction.
The sign above talks about the Iao Valley State Monument. Below is the Iao Needle.
The bridge you see is part of the Iao Needle Lookout Trail. There was a 200 ft elevation change from the parking lot to the lookout.
This is the view from the bridge seen in a previous picture. It is a pretty garden area. It did sprinkle on us a little bit.
We all loaded up and headed for Haleakala Crater. It was very foggy there. So foggy we could not get any pictures. We were told it was usually cloudy at the top of the crater.
Next we headed to the Maui Ocean Center. By the time we got down to the Ocean Center, it was sunny.
The pictures above are the best of the fish at the aquarium. I only took movies of the jelly fish so can't put them in the blog.
We had lunch at the Ocean Center. It was very peaceful and restful at the center.
As we were waiting for the tender to take us back to the ship, the following are the pictures we took on this bright sunny afternoon.
From the ship we are watching another tender head ashore to get more passengers.
It was a wonderfully blessed day!
