Anthony, TX

Monday, December 1

This morning we left Balmorhea State Park and headed to Anthony, TX.  Anthony is just on northern edge of El Paso right at the TX-NM border.  We needed a new shroud for one of the a/c units on the roof of the coach.  We discovered upon arriving at Balmorhea State Park that the front shroud had blown off.  The screws in the front were missing so we presume they vibrated loose allowing the wind to rip the shroud off.  Lucky for us Camping World in Anthony, TX had one in stock.

We arrived about 11:30 am MST at American RV & Marine Resort & Rally Park which is right next to Camping World.  We forgot about the time change so have an extra hour in our day.  We got set up and had lunch.  Then went to Camping World and got the shroud.  We immediately installed it.  It was a beautiful day so I washed the coach.  It desperately needed it.  We had not camped anywhere that would allow it in a while.

The American RV & Marine Resort & Rally Park is not much of a "resort"The amenities are showers and laundry and the mountain views.  On the good side, each site is plenty long and wide.  Each site has water, 20/30/50 amp electric and 3 yes 3 sewer connections.
All the sites are pretty level.  The whole park is gravel.
This is a panoramic from the back of the campground taken in the early evening.

This is our parking site.  We have already installed the new shroud.

We thought we would be able to find some good Mexican food for dinner.  We went looking.
The only thing we got were some beautiful sunset pictures.  Today was windy with lots of dust in the air resulting in a beautiful sunset.
This was taken just as we were leaving the campground.
This was just a few minutes later.  God's glory is awesome!!!!!

We ended up going home and I fixed turkey burgers for dinner. We will be going to Deming, NM tomorrow and know of a good place to get good green chili Mexican food. Looking forward to it.

We had an awesome VERY bright sunrise this morning.  We will be heading to Deming in just a little while.  Another blessed day!  Thank you Lord!
