Anthony, TX on north side of El Paso, TX

Today we moved from Fort Stockton to Anthony, TX just north of El Paso and still in TX.  

There was snow on some of the mountains as we were driving towards El Paso.

This snow covered mountain was in the distance while we were still at least 70 miles from El Paso.

Here we are at the Anthony/El Paso West KOA.  It is another large gravel parking lot without any trees.  The sites are wide and mostly level.  Just fine for an overnight stay.

 We are parked facing North and we can see the Organ Mountains from here.  The Organ Mountains are East of Las Cruces, NM about 45 miles North of us.  I believe the mountains get their name because of the spires that look like a pipe organ.

These are the Franklin Mountains just east of the RV park.

These are also the Franklin Mountains east of us as the sun is setting.
