Christmas day we went out to my brother's ranch and enjoyed the day with them. We got to see them at dinner the evening before but now we could spend time visiting.
My brother rented this backhoe and is digging caliche to be used to resurface his road. It is 3 miles from the county rural road back to his house. Lots of work.
The day after Christmas, we drove to Midland to visit with my Step-mom. She is a special lady. My bad, I did not take any pictures while we were there. We drove back and were home by 4:30 pm.
The weather forecast is for thunderstorms, ice and snow starting late Saturday evening and going into Monday. We had originally planned to leave on Sunday, but the weather has changed our plans. We now plan to leave on Tuesday.
This is looking out a front living room window early Sunday morning. It looks foggy, but it is sleeting and snowing. Can you see the deer?
The 2 pictures above and the one to the left were all taken about 3pm Sunday afternoon.
We are glad we decided to stay put. The roads west (the direction we are headed) are supposed to be icy. Hopefully roads will be cleared by Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be sunny days with temps in the 40s.
Even though today is Sunday, I don't expect any more pictures.
