Wow, I can hardly believe we are still in Weatherford. We still have Tic's follow-up on his knee surgery. Then hopefully we will be able to leave town.
Remember the last post said we had 4 days of rain. As the storm starts to clear, the sky is filled with unique clouds.
The evening sunset was dramatic. You can see the sun setting fire to the back side of the storm line. Gorgeous!!
However, nope we cannot leave. We discover the day after the rain stopped that rain was leaking through the chimney.
So we had to get the repair man out to seal the chimney.
The House Doctor is from Weatherford and is very ethical and reasonably priced. We highly recommend his services.
Our metal roof is very slick, but these two worked to silicone seal all the cracks. Then they sprayed the whole chimney with a waterproofing compound. Another fix completed.
Another evening, the sky was soooooo pink at sunset.
This is more from the same evening as the previous picture.
This was an early morning sunrise one morning. We have been very blessed with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets during our stay here.
Another of our adventures was a mini family reunion. My sweet Aunt Mary put together a mini family reunion consisting of several of the family from the Austin, TX area and my Aunt's children. She pleaded for us to come. We did go. Above is my Aunt Mary with her cousin Clift. They are the two oldest left in that part of the family. We met relatives we had never met before. We also got to see her 3 children whom we had not gotten to see in at least a year.
The picture above and to the right are a couple of pictures from the mini family reunion.
We were glad we went!
Since our church put on their Christmas program early in December, we were able to attend. We arrived early so we could get good seats.
This is our adult choir. They sang beautifully! Great presentation.
Our church has a quilting group that makes prayer quilts. This beautiful quilt was hanging so the church could tie knots and pray over this quilt assigned to go to a special individual. Each quilt is unique. No two are alike. Each note represents a prayer. It is a special ministry!
We have gotten to see a lot of friends and family in addition to taking care of business. After 7 weeks in Weatherford (our longest stay anywhere since we hit the road), we are finally heading out again. Monday, December 14, we are heading to Kerrville, TX to visit with friends wintering in Kerrville.
