Tuesday-Thursday, Sept 20 - 22, 2016
Tuesday we left Wilson Island State Park near Missouri Valley, IA and stopped one night in Rock Port, MO.
We stopped at Rivers Edge Campground. The pull-thru site we were given was plenty long to hold both the coach and Jeep and was mostly level with FHU. However as you can see the sites were very close together. It was fine for one night.
This was the moon the next morning about 9am.
Wednesday, we headed to Lake Paradise Resort near Lone Jack, MO. We are staying 6 nights. This park could be really nice but it is in need of lots of maintenance. It will work for now. We are near Kansas City so should have plenty to do.
Our site has absolutely no shade. The parking pad is level but in the middle of a hillside site. Notice the picnic table angle. The park is not close to full so the sites around us are empty. That gives us a little room which feels like the site is wider.
There are ponds/lakes all throughout the park. Our first evening was beautiful! Above and below are two separate ponds and different buildings near them.
The clouds were beautiful this evening.
The clouds help make the sunset magnificent.
There is no wind. The pond is still and the reflection of the pink clouds is awesome!
More of the gorgeous sunset our first evening.
Thursday morning we got up early (just after sunrise) so I could wash the bugs off the front of the coach and windshield.
The Canadian geese were flying over the closest lake. See them?
The morning moon was still up also; about half of a waning moon.
Still waters produce incredible reflections.
This huge magnificent tree is between two lakes.
Above and below show the sunset on our second night. So beautiful!
