Deming, New Mexico

Friday we left Caballo Lake & arrived in Deming 1pm.  

On our way to Deming we saw this large solar generating plant.  See the picture below also.

I had to grab the camera and take pictures through the window.

We stayed at an Escapees park called Dream Catcher RV Park.  We had full hookups with 50 amp service for $18/night.  The whole park was gravel and spaces were level & nice and wide although not much for shade.  It was located close to Interstate 10.  However, it was warm enough we ran the air conditioners so did not hear any highway noise.  The park got several more RVers later on Friday and Saturday.  The laundry facilities were great.  We did not use the showers.  They also had a big game room and there was an ice cream social on Saturday afternoon. We would stay here again.

We learned the SWNM state fair was happening this very weekend.  We decided to go there Friday afternoon.  This was the most exciting thing we saw at the fair.  There was going to be a rodeo at 7pm that evening.  We thought we would go back for that.  However at 7pm it was raining and we decided not to go.
