The museum at Top of the Rock is 35,000 sq feet of prehistoric and native Indian artifacts.
The first thing we saw as we went down the stairs to the museum was one of Waylon Jennings guitars.
Giant ground sloth.
We saw many many displays of small tools and arrow heads. I'm only putting a few in this post.
The animal on the left is called a Bear Dog. It is attacking a Hell Pig. These two animals and the bird below are some prehistoric animals I don't remember seeing anywhere before.
A Terror Bird is about the same size as the horses.
This is the skeleton of a Giant Beaver.
There were lots of beautiful bronze sculptures. I'm just putting a few of these also.
This painted sculpture was staring at the sculpture below.
These 2 sculptures were on each side of a doorway leading into another room.
They don't look too happy to see each other.
These gorgeous artworks are oil paintings of beautiful Indian pottery.
The display above and below are just 2 of the many creative displays showing round game pieces, small tools and many arrowheads.
This was very interesting! It is actually made of paper. Very talented!
We weren't sure if the short-faced bear first attacked the Indian or if the Indian was hunting the bear.
This awesome statue is just outside one of the 3 restaurants at Top of the Rock.
Today was a beautiful day and we got to go out to the Chapel. It is also available for weddings. See the beautiful wood inside below.
From in front of the Chapel we were looking back at 2 of the restaurants at Top of the Rock.
This is another view of the statue that show Table Rock Lake in the background. There were so many beautiful views from Top of the Rock.
This unique buffalo sculpture is on the porch of The Buffalo Bar and Grille restaurant there.
This walkway was the way to the wine cellar in the basement.
This beautiful stained glass was the ceiling in the elevator that took you down to the wine cellar.
This unique statue was just outside the entrance to the museum. This is where the shuttle to and from the Welcoming Center dropped off all the visitors.
Late in the evening, we decided to wait near the dam at Table Rock Lake to get sunset pictures.
There weren't any clouds to the west, so this is the start of the sunset.
This lone set of clouds are towards the east. Beautiful
Starting with this picture, you can follow the sunset over the next several minutes.
The orange glow really sets this tree on fire!
As we headed home, we saw the same set of clouds as shown above. Now the orange is glowing on it. We are so blessed to be able to enjoy so much of God's glorious wonders!
