Gresham, WI

Thursday- Saturday, July 10-12

We arrived at Captain's Cove RV Resort in Gresham, WI about 1pm.  We picked our site and got settled in.
The Thirsty Whale is a lounge & restaurant on premises that is open to the public.  Captains Cove is a Coast to Coast campground.
This is our site.  It is nice and deep and wide.
We even bought a stack of firewood since we will be here 2 weeks.  That is our little fire pit in the middle of the picture. The fire pit worked well last night.
This is the road from our site to the office.  There are lots of trees resulting in poor internet connection and only fair TV reception.  The internet works periodically so we can get email checked and I'm actually working on the blog now.  It will be fine for our stay.  Other than the internet this is a pretty place with nice size spacing between sites.
This is the backside of the campground office.  The door leads into the swimming pool.
This is the playground.  There is an indoor swimming pool which we did not take a picture of.
There is a small lake with a beach and paddle boats if you want.   People can also bring their fishing boats & fish.  There are 2 floating trampolines.  Here is one.
Here is the other floating trampoline.  The kids are having fun!
The activities this weekend are all related to pirates.  There will be photo session later this afternoon with a "Jack Sparrow" pirate.  There is even a costume competition.  Here is a family headed for the competition.  The picture below is the back of their golf cart.

We took a drive on Friday and came across this falls.

This was looking up river just before the river flowed under the bridge and down the falls.
Here is the river flowing under the bridge.
Here is the view from the bridge looking down river.  What a beautiful sight!
This view is looking down river from the side of the river.  This is not a steep falls, but really pretty.

Saturday we decided to just stay around home and enjoy the weather and environment.  What a blessing!  Thank you Lord for all our blessings!
