Bear Canyon in Colorado National Forest, Tucson, AZ

Thursday, March 26, 2015 - Tic's hike

Tic's hike up the Bear Canyon trail to Seven Falls was more strenuous than my hike and twice as long.  It took him 4 hours round trip.  The following are his pictures from his hike.
This is the start of the hike.  4 miles to reach Seven Falls with 7 water crossings.
The rocks and cactus are so dramatic.  AND the sky is sooooo blue!
This is the first water crossing.
This was another water crossing with a small water fall.  See it?  Tic did not take pictures of all the water crossings.  He was moving quickly so I would not have to wait too long.
At this point Tic thought he was close.  See the trail in the middle of the page?  The trail actually went around the back side of the the hill on the left.  The middle hill looks like a trail on it, but that was where the water flowed when it rained.
Turns out Seven Falls was still a ways off.  This was Tic's first view of Seven Falls. Look closely and you can see some people in the middle of the picture.  They are at one of the pools of Seven Falls.  This gives a perspective how far away Tic still is.
This is looking up the hill from Seven Falls.
This picture shows 3 levels of the 7 Falls. This picture is a zoom of part of the picture below.
You can see all the falls in this picture.
Tic asked someone to take his picture at the falls to show he actually got there. Great picture!
One last picture of Seven Falls.  Impressive place!  Glad he decided to make the hike.
The day was warm, and the water was icy cold.
This is the view towards Tucson from 7 Falls.  Tic still has quite a hike to get down.
Two hours up and 1:45 to hike out.
