Florence, AZ Part 3

Friday, March 20, 2015

We are now leaving the last museum and headed for a 32 mile drive on dirt roads from Florence to Kelvin AZ.

Here we are headed out on the dirt road.  Looks like it will be a beautiful drive.
This is our first stop.  Notice the road going up the hill on the far left side of this picture.
This picture is zoomed in from the same spot as above picture.
This picture is zoomed in even more, focusing on the round rocks.
Here we are about to go up the hill.  The 3 pictures above were taken from the T in the dirt roads near the top right side of the picture below.

We made it.  It was steeper than it looks.
Here we are about to go up this hill.
This picture is taken from the top of the hill.
This is also from the top of the hill.  It shows the whole row of round rocks.
This is not zoomed at all and is from the top of the hill.  The mountains are just beautiful!
This is facing another direction from the top of the hill also.  This territory is full of its own beauty!  We are really enjoying our stay in AZ.
Along our way was this huge copper mine.
We finally hit pavement again.  There is more than one copper mine in this area.  Here is another.
This is a closeup of some of the layers of the copper mine.
This is more of the same copper mine.  It was huge.  Lightning was flashing behind us. Time to went.

We got back into Tucson during the early evening go home traffic, so decided to eat and wait for the traffic to clear.  It was a fun day!
