Tucson, AZ Rincon Country West Train Garden

Sunday, March 8, 2015

Rincon Country West has a train garden that is really cute.  They had it set up with Christmas stuff in December.  That decor is gone and now it is just active communities.

Here is a cute swimming hole scene

There are trusses and bridges everywhere.  Notice the guy in the foreground with the axe.  There is a turkey on his shoulder.

Here is the feed store with the outhouse next to it.  I don't see any stairs up to the store.  I guess you have to climb up and just throw the bags of feed down to the truck????

See the community church?  They have done a good job of setting up areas among the small plants.
This was the commercial part of town.  Really cute!

This was the train conductor/engineer's building.

This is the train repair yard.  I thought this was cute.

This is the commercial part of the community looking from the opposite direction as the previous picture.
The circus was even in town when we went.

Here is the center part of town again.  There is a mercantile, fire station and gas station.  The same church as before is also in the picture.

Here is a more modern town.  The trains traveled through several eras of time.

And here is another little community with a large farm.

Just around the corner from the large barn were the Indians and a trading post.  Below is a close up of the Indians and whites trading.
See the white folk doing the trading at the table?  There is even a Model A with rumble seat parked at the trading post.  Nobody claimed this was ever meant to be a accurate representation.
Then around the corner from the Indians is Frosty's Diner.  Cute!

This is a train stop with an outhouse.  Somebody needs to teach that lady that she should close the door to the outhouse when she is in it.  So many cute things to see.  Another time when we walked by the train garden there was a train with an open passenger car full of passengers.  I don't seem to be able to figure out the train activity schedule so I could get more pictures of the different trains.  Oh well, I figure this is plenty of pictures anyway.
