Here we are at the WAAAM Museum. Western Antique Automobile & Aeroplane Museum.
This was a serendipity stop. Many other antiques outside and inside in addition to the cars and planes. The staff here were primarily volunteers, and enthusiastically offered to help and answer any questions. You will be able to tell from the photos that the facility and the displays were well kept. Many of the cars and planes are driven/flown regularly.
1929 Graham Paige Model 612
1929 Packard Model 626 Sport Coupe
Old Packards are a favorite of mine. Note other old items on the shelves; cameras and radios.
Yes, there is a drip pan under the Harley, but in its defense, it is one of the displays that is ridden regularly.
A naturally balanced 3 cylinder rotary engine.
Beautiful blue 1932 Waco UBF-2
In the center of a bumper mounted spare tire, is this unique stop and turn signal. 1923 Locomobile Model 48 Sportif.
1914 Ford Model T
If I could only share one photo of this museum, I think this one best represents their display; cars, motorcycle, and planes.
Floors were spotless, cars were polished not dusty.
A 1914 Detroit Model 63 all-electric car. The fender is not crumpled, it is a protective cover.
The antique brochure claimed it could travel all day, but was not specific. It did not explain how long it took to recharge, or how that was done.
This 1912 Indian is the oldest motorcycle in the museum that still runs. Yes, the cardboard is there to soak up the oil.
Too many exhibits to share them all, but I wanted to mention that there is also a children's section with unique exhibits for them as well. This museum in Hood River, Oregon was worth the visit.
