Carrollwoods RV Park near Tabor City, NC

Friday, July 1, 2016

Today is a long travel day, 5 hours, to get to our new campground and get Isabel home.  She has been with us for 19 days and is ready to be home to her family and friends.  She has been a great sport and we have enjoyed having her.

On our way here we stopped or fuel.  In getting back on the road we ran through a water puddle that turned out to be a deep pothole.  It twisted the coach enough to shatter the lower curb-side of the windshield.
It made a loud crack/pop when it happened.  Isabel was in the passenger seat.  It especially startled her.

Above and below show our campsite.  We are parked next to our friends that we met there 2 years ago.
As you can see the sites are nice and wide, fairly level and mostly shady.  The roads are wide enough to easily manuever.  We have FHU with 20/30/50 amp at our post.  Restrooms are clean and there is a laundry with 2 washers and 2 driers.

On Saturday, July 2, there was a 4th of July  parade scheduled in the park.
Our friends Mike and Jane decorated their bikes for the the parade.
Below are pictures of the parade.

The park owners went all out, decorating their golf cart and carrying the US flag.  Fun was had by all.

One evening while we were sitting out visiting with the neighbors, we saw a couple of wood storks flying high overhead.  The picture is a little blurry because the stork was so high.

We will spend 14 nights here.  About half the evenings we spent in Myrtle Beach with our kids and grandkids here.  There will be other posts on those activities.
