There are still so many waterfalls to see. Excited about another wonderful day exploring God's wonders.
We started at Caesars Head State Park in North Carolina. Pictures of Raven Cliff Falls looked like one we did not want to miss.
Raven Cliff Falls at Caesar Head State Park. Early morning clouds still hanging around clouded our view. It was a 2.2 mile hike back to the overlook and this is what we saw.
On our 2.2 mile hike back we decided to take pictures of the many kinds of mushrooms we saw along the way.
I requested a close-up of some moss also.
This was actually growing on a fallen tree.
The trail was beautiful and we enjoyed the hike.
These were just about the only flowers we saw on this hike. More mushrooms than anything.
Next we decided to drive into NC to DuPont State Park where there were at least 3 more waterfalls we wanted to see.
High Falls. Many people were enjoying the cool water.
The next 3 pictures are of Triple Falls.
Dusty cooling her tired feet in the cool waters of Triple Falls. We've done more miles hiking in a day than my feet are used to.
There were 111 steps down to Triple Falls. Guess what! There were 111 steps back up also!!
Above and below is Hooker Falls. See the peoples legs sticking out as they sit behind the waterfall?
Spillway on our way through the back way out of DuPont State Park in NC. It was another gorgeous drive.
We were both very tired after hiking about 7.5 miles today. That is not much for some people, but it is much more than we usually do in a day.
