Mt. Pleasant, MI - Soaring Eagle Hideaway RV Park

Monday, August 8, 2016

Today we are moving to Mt. Pleasant, MI as stopping place to get some things done and hopefully meet with some friends here for a family reunion if they have time.

Soaring Eagle Hideaway RV Park is associated with the Soaring Eagle Casino near by.  There are free shuttles to take you to and from the casino if that is your thing.  The RV park is a little pricey, but it is nice enough.  All sites are fairly level, have 20/30/50 amp, water & sewer with a concrete parking pad, small grass area, picnic table, BBQ pit and fire pit.  We are staying for a week and the cost is $264.60 including tax.  Nightly costs about $60/night.
This is our parking site.  You can see it is a fairly good sized space.

Clubhouse and office.

This lake has a swimming area and the other end is set up as a fishing area.  You can rent canoes and paddle boats if you want.

There's even a small sand beach area.

Tuesday, we went to the library to get a lot of updates done that we needed to get done.

This black squirrel was nosing around just outside the library window.  Here in Mt. Pleasant we have seen a few of these black squirrels.  Per the internet, these are a melanistic subgroup of the eastern gray squirrel and of the fox squirrel.  We had never seen black squirrels.
