Meziadin Lake Provincial Park, BC

Monday, August 14, 2017

Today we move to Meziadin Lake Provincial Park.

OMG, along the way we saw this horrible wreck. There is yellow tape in some places around this disaster. Later we learned that no one was seriously hurt.

Meziadin Lake Provincial Park is a pretty park. Below are pictures of the lake just across from our site.

While it is slightly overcast, it was not raining. Since we have not had cell service and still don't, we decided to drive to Stewart, BC and try to get a reservation in the park we want for tomorrow. Below are pictures from our drive to Stewart.
We started seeing waterfalls flowing from many of the mountain tops.

You can see how foggy it was.  It started raining lightly.

WOW look how close we are to this glacier.

Above and below show this glacier that flows directly into a river. Pretty awesome.

Another waterfall flowing from another mountain top. Below shows one section of the waterfall that looks like a shoot the water is flowing through.

I took this picture of 2 waterfalls in one picture to give an idea of how many waterfalls we are seeing along the drive.

As we were getting back to Meziadin Lake PP, this bear was wandering near the fuel station at the intersection. He finally decided to head back into the trees.

We had a pleasant evening visiting with our neighbors. They knew a lot about the area and were very informative. We will be heading to Stewart, BC tomorrow.
