Around Buena Vista, CO

Today we decided to go to Walmart in Salida, CO. Then we drove back to Buena Vista and went by our friends Jody and Patty's house. We wanted to see the river behind the house. Then a little later we decided to take a drive on some back roads near Buena Vista. Notice we are driving and not hiking these days because of Dusty's broken foot.

 On the way back from Salida, we got these beautiful view of part of the Fourteens mountains. See above and below.

 This is the front of Jody and Patty's house here in Buena Vista.

Wow what beauty!!

About 3pm we decided to take a short drive on outskirts of Buena Vista.

Both above and below are taken from a viewpoint high above and East of town.

As we were driving along we saw this dog head shape in the rocks.


Next we took another county road that said it would take us to "The Castles". The next 4 pictures below are of what we considered "The Castles".

 Above and below are more beautiful sights as we headed back to the RV park.

We are truly enjoying this beautiful area!!!
