Drive from Hickory Hollow Campground to Rocky Fork Campground

Our drive from western Pennsylvania thru West Virginia to Kimbolton, OH was beautiful.  There were still plenty of hills with steep grades even on the interstate.  We were surprised when we looked at the map and found that we would be traveling thru West Virginia between Pennsylvania and Ohio.
We crossed a river somewhere in PA.  This unique looking train trestle was next to the bridge for cars.

You can see both bridges in this picture.

I quickly got this picture as we crossed the West Virginia border.  Sorry it is blurry.

Right after I took the West Virginia sign, we crossed this bridge.  I guess I did not give the camera time to focus AGAIN.

We are now in Ohio.  The hills in Ohio are just as steep as western PA.

We arrived at the campground Friday about 12:30pm.  We could not get level in the site they assigned us.  We requested this site and got it for our whole 5 night stay.  It turned out to be the best site in the whole campground.  We had a concrete pad to park on and concrete pad for the picnic tables.  Yes we had two tables, one round table with an umbrella and 4 metal chairs.  No other site we saw in the whole campground had these concrete pads.  Dusty was cleaning the bugs off the windshield and front of the coach.

This picture shows the picnic table with the umbrella.

David & Roxanne, friends from Weatherford, TX, drove all the way to this campground to spend a few days with us.  David, Roxanne and I went horse back riding on Saturday.  Tic took pictures of us.  This is the horse barn.

We all had to sign our lives away to be able to ride.

Here we are lined up.  They are deciding which person goes on which horse.

Here we go.

Here we are coming back.  The guy in front of me was so excited about his ride he was texting.

Doesn't Roxy look like she enjoyed her ride?

You can tell David is from Texas, by the way he sits his saddle!

This small lighthouse was next to a pond at the campground.  This campground was beautiful everywhere.

They even had a western town.  Twice a month they have a rodeo and western shows.  Of course we were here on an off weekend.

Here is the club house. It was large. At the left end was an indoor pool with a sunning deck just outside the pool area. In the center was a large area with tables and chairs. An area off to side also had a pool table. There was a child care area that had activities for the younger ones periodically. There was a large adults only room with game tables and couches and chairs and a TV.  All in this one building.  We played cards in the the adult room several times.

The campground got mostly empty on Sunday afternoon.  This is our view just down the road from our campsite.  There is a bath house in the background.

Monday we drove into Cambridge, OH and visited the Hopalong Cassidy Museum.

This was Hopalong Cassidy's room.  There were lots of rooms of other collections also.  Good thing this was free.
We enjoyed David & Roxanne visiting. Other than our excursions, we played lots of cards and watched several movie dvds. Wednesday, David & Roxanne left to go back to Texas and we left for our campground near Dayton, OH.
