Flight 93 Memorial

Flight 93 National Memorial has been started and construction continues with a projected completion date of late 2015.  Probably because it is out of the way, not too many visitors have been here.
This was a moving experience. Just think that everyone on this flight knew they were going to die one way or another so they chose to not let the terrorists win.

There were many acres of new trees planted.

This picture shows the visitor shelter and memorial and crash site.

Due to the delay of Flight 93 passengers began to learn of the other plan crashes.

People on the neighboring farms said they could shiny pieces in the black smoke plume.

The piece of the plane pictured is the largest piece they found.  Imagine the explosion.

These are all the brave souls on board Flight 93.

Every one of their names is listed on this wall.

This boulder marks the final resting place of the plane.  The government decided a boulder was the most politically correct marker to use.  ;-(

This sitting area faces the crash path and wall of names.
