Camp Verde, AZ

Monday, May 2, 2016

We had originally planned a drive through the mountains to Prescott.

From the RV park the mountains look clear this morning.  However, the forecast said it was going to be mostly cloudy in Prescott today so we put off our drive until tomorrow.

We piddled around, had breakfast buffet at the nearby casino (nothing special) and went to the library to use their internet.  Our Verizon is very slow here, only 2 bars of service.

The most exciting thing we did was make reservations for our granddaughter, Isabel, to fly from Myrtle Beach, SC to Detroit, MI to meet us on June 12.  She will stay with us in the coach as we drive her home taking 2 or 3 weeks depending if she is having a good time.  We are excited that she wanted to come travel with us!!  Now the planning begins!!

Just to do something, we took a short drive on the east side of Camp Verde.  We were not sure what the terrain would look like.  It looked very much like the picture above.  We did see a coyote run across the road. Suddenly we crossed a bridge with water running.  It was Beaver Creek.

We found a little area to park just after we crossed the bridge.  We walked down to Beaver Creek.  There was more water than we expected.

We spotted our next wildlife critter.

The running creek sounded so refreshing and peaceful!

Above Tic is looking upstream towards the bridge.  Below Tic is looking downstream.  It was a pleasant break.

Dusty had just hiked up the hill from the creek.

We are headed back to the RV park now for a rest.  We have a long day planned for tomorrow.

We had rain storms come rolling through this evening.
As the rains started clearing, we saw God's Glory shining through!

A short bit later, we saw this double rainbow.  More of God's Glory!

We have been so blessed this evening!   What a wonderful way to end a day!!
