Los Alamos, NM - Part 1

Thursday, May 5, 2016

We left Sun Valley/Holbrook, AZ and went to Milan/Grants, NM for one night.

Our site at Bar S RV Park was much better.  We had full hookups and the water was good.  We met a man that had a coach the exact same year brand and model as ours.  We visited most of the afternoon with him and his female traveling companion.  It was a fun time!

We left the next morning and drove to Los Alamos, NM.  We will be babysitting our 3 1/2 month old grandson, Rux.  We are excited!
Here is our parking site at the White Rock RV Park next to the Visitors Center.  We have 50amp electric. There is a water station and a dump station.  Hopefully we won't have to move to dump before we leave on Wednesday, May 18.

This is the view out our living room window.  The snow capped mountains are the Sangre de Christo mountains near Santa Fe.

Friday evening, as we arrived at Jessica's, the first thing I got to do was feed Rux.

Jessica has this beautiful plant on her front porch.  She says it is supposed to grow very large, so they plan to plant it in the back yard.

This is the best picture of the day! He is just learning to make sounds and was "talking" to me.

Today is Mother's Day.  We will be joining Jessica, James and all the boys for breakfast this morning.
Someone was nice enough to take a picture of the whole family including us.  From left to right are James, Jessica with Rux, Dusty, Zack, Tic, Noah, Tyler.  It was a great time getting to visit with the older boys also!

This picture is my favorite of Jessica and Rux on her first Mother's Day.  They are both precious!

Yesterday was our first full day of babysitting Rux.  Boy was it a full day for us.  No time for pictures yesterday.  However, today was better.
Rux and I went outside under the big pine tree.  His hat is much too big, but I wanted to shade his eyes a little.  It was very bright outside.  He seemed to enjoy our adventure.

Later in the afternoon, I took Rux for a walk.  He started to fall asleep so I decided I better get a picture before he did.

Tic is taking his turn at feeding.  Rux likes to sit up when he is eating.

Once he is fed and dry, he enjoys laying on the floor looking around.  He is looking very intently at Tic.

Nana Dusty and Rux.  Rux is so much fun to play with!
