We decided to go to the White House Mystery Dinner Theater this evening. The food was an all you can eat buffet consisting of: salad, green beans, little red potatoes seasoned & cooked in a skillet, macaroni & cheese, pulled pork and baked chicken (either white or dark meat), dinner roll & butter. Then there was dessert: peach, apple, blackberry & cherry cobblers, iced brownie and coffee flavored cake. Drinks were lemonade, tea or water. If a person didn't get full, it was their own fault.
The show was a cute mystery western about the town of Branson. The town was going to vote on whether to keep the name of Branson or change the name to Lucia. The town was divided. Then a couple of people in the town died causing quite a stir. Several people in the audience had a part in the play. It was lots of fun!
The owner of the general store obviously wanted the town name changed to Lucia.
Dr Quinn was one of the people that died.
This side of town (see the Branson with an arrow sign) wants the town to stay named Branson. Including the bank below.
This here is the town preacher. Doesn't he look like he is delivering a sermon?
From left to right, Ellie, deputy, preacher, Jessica. In case you can't tell, Ellie, the sheriff's daughter is also in love with the deputy. Jessica's assistant has just been shot dead.
The sheriff is out of town, so his daughter dresses like a man And since there has been a murder, the daughter convinces the deputy to deputize her I mean "him".
Dr Quinn is giving the wealthy landowner some "medicine" to calm her nerves. After Jessica having 2 bottles of "medicine", Dr Quinn decided to have a bottle for herself. However when Dr Quinn drank her bottle of "medicine", she dropped dead from poisoning.
I must mention that Jessica is a wealthy landowner because her father died and left her all his land and arranged for a lawyer to handle all her affairs. The man is the rounded hat is the audience actor playing the lawyer part. The lawyer has just been arrested for the 2 murders and attempted murder of Jessica. Oops, I just ruined it for those who go to the White House Murder Mystery Dinner Theater.
