Monday we moved to Compton Ridge in Branson, MO. We have a really nice parking site.
We have a paved long pull-thru with FHU 50 amp.
We will be staying here for 2 weeks. We hope to see leaves change before we leave.
Tic had a wild ride on this rhino.
And this turtle was wild also!
We took a walk through the RV park. These are the only changing leaves we saw.
Tic got this cool picture of this spider in the middle of his web.
The squirrels around the park are busy gathering nuts. There are plenty of acorns around for them.
In the park across the street, these cabins are for rent. Above is the Pat Garrett Cabin and below is the Billy the Kid Cabin. Cute!
Wednesday was a rainy morning. We decided to drive to Springfield and have lunch at Lamberts Cafe,
"home of the throwed rolls".
The inside was decorated with lots of old license plates and old ad signs.
We each ordered water to drink and it came in these mugs. Apparently there are several locations for Lambert's Cafe.
Dusty ordered a pull-porked sandwich with cottage cheese. The sandwich was very thick with super deliciously smoked pork.
Tic order a chef salad. OMG look at the size of it. He ate the ham, eggs and half the salad. We brought home the rest of it and shared it for dinner.
We decided not to take the interstate home so Tic found another route home.
On our route we happened to cross the Finley River and see this spillway.
Another angle of the Finley River. As you can tell the clouds and rain finally cleared. We are really enjoying the rolling hills and many rivers here in Missouri.
