Monday, October 17, 2016 - Part 1
Today we plan to explore the area near here. We started out on a drive headed east through some of the Ozarks.
We crossed the Greer Ferry Lake. The mountain in the center back distance is Sugar Loaf Mountain. More about Sugar Loaf Mountain in the next post.
We were searching for a particular one lane bridge, but we came across this pretty bridge that crossed the Devils Fork Little Red River.
Tic took this from that same white bridge.
Greer Ferry Lake again. It is a huge lake. What an awesome view!
We finally found the bridge we were looking for. Originally this was a railroad bridge. Obviously it is now for vehicles. See Dusty in the middle of the bridge?
This is the other side of the bridge. It is pretty narrow. I can't imagine driving a large truck on this road as the weight limit signs says.
We walked along side the river and Tic was able to get a picture of the whole bridge. By the way, the river is the Middle Fork Little Red River.
The river was swirling beautifully here.
Look back at the bridge from the beautiful swirls pictured above.
This area of the Ozarks is just beautiful. We feel so blessed to be able to enjoy it.
