This is an overlook above the Tombstone Interpretive Center looking at the Klondike River still iced over. Below is a close up of the ice. The haze makes it difficult, but maybe you can see the glacial blue color of the ice.
The sign above describes the view below. Too bad it is such a cloudy & hazy day.
Here is the Tombstone Interpretive Center. It is completely green. The design uses the natural sun light for lighting and solar for any other need for electricity.
This is the view from the interpretive center.
The mountains along the drive back were a little less covered in clouds, so Tic took pictures.
It had rained while we were in the interpretive center so the road back was wet. This is the Dempster "Highway".
More interesting mountains on our way back to Dawson City.
While it was a cloudy day, we were glad we made the drive.
