This morning we left the Twin Falls, ID, area headed to Cascade, ID via Boise. Twenty-five MPH headwinds until we made it to Boise, then lesser winds, but major hill climbing to Cascade.
We are only here for one night, we see that it might have been better to have at least two nights. We like to arrive at a new location close to noon, but due to the weather conditions, we did not arrive till nearly 3:00PM. The drive North along the Payette River has to be one of the most scenic we have seen on any trip. Watch the video!
We stopped climbing, we reached a high meadow valley between two mountain ranges and the flow of water was much calmer, but still flowing.
The snowfall is almost stopped. The trees are lightly coated and beautiful.
For those of you who have followed our blog, you probably do not recognize this camper. It is intended for our trip to Alaska this summer. The North fork of the Payette River is behind us. Sunset is not until 9:07PM, so we have time to go for a quick trip around Cascade.
Cascade Reservoir, State Park
Normal daytime temps are 70, but we are blessed with temps in the forties. Close to freezing tonight.
Sure seems like you should see deer or elk here.
Caught these two sneaking around looking for frogs maybe?
