Zion has instituted shuttle buses that take people to 8 stops past the visitors center. Private autos are no longer allowed on this road after the Zion Lodge. So today we parked at the visitors center and rode the shuttle buses. The shuttle is free and people can get off and on at any stop. This is going to be a great day!
We took the shuttle to the end and got off at Temple of Sinawava where a walk along the side of the Virgin River led to The Narrows. The Narrows is a 2.5 mile hike up river, however most of the walk is in the water. We were not prepared for that. The climbers below were climbing the wall that went straight up along side the Virgin River.
The guy above is above the woman. An hour later at the end of our walk the woman below was half way up.
The man was nearly on the top and helping the woman make the climb.
This is the Virgin River a little ways up the path.
Zion is an amazing park! We are so blessed to be able to enjoy so much of God's Glory.
