Standish, CA

Friday, May 22, 2015

Today we left South Lake Tahoe and drove to Days End RV Park in Standish, CA.  As we left on highway 58 we went thru this tunnel.

As the morning wore on the clouds were building.
Aren't they magnificent looking!?!

This is the entrance to this park.
It is a small park, but very neat, clean and level sites.  We got a pull-thru.
This is looking at the office, restrooms and laundry.  All the facilities are very clean and nice.  I did use the laundry and all machines were working which is uncommon.
Here is our site.  While we do have our slides out, we can hardly walk between the picnic table and the slide.  The sites are narrow.  It was nice not to have anyone on either side of us.  This is a Passport America park and we were expecting half price for the 4 nights we were staying.  However, the owner was away for the week and left instructions for only a 10% discount.  We are still negotiating on this.  Confirm the price when making a reservation.  All else was wonderful.  This park is away from traffic and surrounded by farms.  If you like being away from the city, this is the place for you.

This sign is just outside the office.  We went from Yosemite (on map) to Lake Tahoe (on map) to Standish (on map).  See the arrow that says "You are here"?  That's where we are.

We will be driving to Mt Lassen (on map) tomorrow.  When we leave here we will head to Mt. Shasta (on map) for a couple of nights.
