Since the zoo was so busy on Saturday, we decided to wait until Monday for our next excursion. It turned out to be just as busy also. Lots of field trip kids. Guess it is that time of year.
We started at the Automotive Museum. There were lots of cars and motorcycles.
This was a section of different British cars.
Not sure what kind of cars these are. Jaguar?
The back part of the roof was a convertible. There was even a TV in the back seat as see in the picture below. RR
I have whittled the motorcycle pictures down but there are still a fair number.
A 1924 Indian in the background, a 1926 Harley Davidson in the middle, and a Wankel in the foreground.
1928 Guzzi Falcon
This 1916 Harley Davidson was used during World War 1. It is a little rough.
Look at this beautiful 2016 Indian Chief.
This was Steve McQueen's Husqvarna used in a couple of his movies. Tic used to have one exactly like it. Amazingly, young people do not seem to know who Steve was.
There is so much to say about this old Indian that I put the plaque below.
This sidecar looks like a bullet. As you can tell the rig is a 1965 BMW.
A 1909 International Harvester. I bet you did not know they made cars! I didn't.
This is a 3 wheeled affair made by John Alfred Prestwich. I don't remember the year it was made. Possibly 1932?????
A 1966 Bizzarrrini P538 was a V-12 made in Italy. I found it interesting that the hood buckled on with 3 buckles.
There was one very unique car that I am going to have to put in its own post. See Part 2 of 7 for Loui Mattar's fabulous $75,000 car.
