Balboa Park in San Diego, CA - Part 7 of 7

Tuesday, March 15, 2016

Our next stop for today will be the Air and Space Museum.

Lots of children at the park today.  We passed this creature/play area on our walk to the Air and Space Museum.

Remember that Balboa Park is an 1200 acre park. There is no way you can see it all in one day especially since the San Diego Zoo is in Balboa Park also.  This is our third day.  We won't see every museum there nor all the gardens, but by the time we leave today, we will have seen most of the park.

This is the front of the building.  They had a special Da Vinci exhibit at an extra charge.  Since we have already seen the exhibit we did not see it again.  If you ever have the opportunity to see the Da Vinci exhibit, we highly recommend you see it.  Da Vinci was an amazing innovator.

All the pictures below are from inside the the Air and Space Museum.

There were all kinds of planes, helicopters and a few cars.  We even watched a 4-D movie.  It was shown as if we were the Red Barron having dogfights in the air. The chairs moved around and wind blew on our faces, back of our heads and some on our legs.  It was fun!

We were tired and decided we were ready to go home.  We have seen enough of Balboa Park for this trip.  We've had 3 full days and gorgeous weather also.
