Today we will pickup our Mobile Condo from RV Decor. There was a design problem which led to a delay in the forecast completion, then a parts availability delay, but we finally get our home back.
I will share some before and after photos to help show the work that was done for us.
In this before photo, you see the carpet and then tile in the kitchen - bath area. This was high quality carpet, but it is 10 years old and had some areas that were starting to show its age. The tile is ceramic and had several chips that occurred before we got the MC, and although they had been patched well, they still were obvious.
In this after photo, it shows the new wood-look floor. This flooring is Kardean commercial grade, 100% waterproof, individual planks glued over a new sub-floor.
This before photo shows an oven. There is a 3 burner propane stove top under a removable Corian countertop.
There is mirror next to the stove/oven. There is a small cabinet door to the right of the mirror. This was our pantry.
In this after photo, the mirror is gone, and two flush fitting doors take their place.
Now we have approximately 5 times the storage space with 3 doors to permit access. This design was necessary in order that the slide-out not have physical interference with the cabinet.
In this after photo, the new 2 burner induction stove-top and wide-deep storage drawer. This allows storage of several large appliances.
Induction cooking means less heat build-up.
As you might imagine, this took a great deal of physical labor, more so than the cost of materials.
Momma/Nana is a happy camper.
