Today we decided to take it easy. Tic pulled his back (not serious). Just need to let it rest. So our only pictures for today are the sunset.
Aren't these clouds unique?
This part of the sunset is even later. As the sun got below the horizon, the underside of some clouds started shining. Gorgeous!

Today we take the coach to the Caterpillar service place to have an intermittent check engine light serviced.
On the way out of the RV park I decided to take a picture of the little house and waterfall near the front entrance.
Our service check was another of God's blessings. The service people took us immediately. They connected the computer and said there was not really anything going on. Also the engine software was 3 levels down, so they updated the software. We were out of there in an hour and the best part; there was no charge!
We were home and setup by noon. After lunch we decided to hike to Paulina Falls in the Newberry Caldera just up the road from the RV park.
It was just a short hike to these pretty falls. We saw an overlook on the opposite side of the falls.
We started hiking upstream to see if we could find a way across to get to the other side of the falls. This view is right before the waterfall.
This is a little further upstream. About this time we decoded to go back to the parking lot and drive up to the next pull-in and walk downstream.
We found a spot just before this bridge to park. The trail head was just a few yards away.
There were several pretty sites along the water.
As the trail took us a little away from the water the forest was filled with downed trees. There were so many downed trees, it looked like a type of ground cover.
As we got closer to the water again, we saw these pretty flowers.
We finally reached the waterfalls from the other side. I did not think the view was as good because you could only see one of the two waterfalls. I'm not posting any pictures from that view.
The next thing we did was drive up the road to "The Pinnacles". It was lots of switchbacks and a 3000 ft change in elevation.
This is a set of rocks (lava) we saw on the way up. Interesting.
This is another interesting lava flow.
From the top, (8000') we could see Paulina Lake. You can see ground under the water. The water is pretty clear.
Here are some more lava pinnacles.
We took this short trail eastward on the top. We were able to see East Lake and the Big Obsidian Flow field. East Lake is an interesting little lake in that no water flows in to or out of this lake.
From the top we could also see the many lava upheavals that did not actually break through the ground. Interesting!
We headed back home. We leave tomorrow
