The twisting of getting in and out of the car and the jostling in the car yesterday irritated Tic's back so we are staying home today to see if the rest will make a difference. No pictures.

Tic is feeling better so we are heading down the coast again today. Since we missed high tide on Saturday we are going to be at Devil's Churn for high tide today.
We are walking through the trees to the Devil's Churn and saw this tree that looked like it had about 4 or so trunks separating out of the main bottom trunk. Interesting!
Dusty is in the pink half way down the trail. Tic has gone down to the rocks that create the Devil's Churn.
We made it to Devil's Churn for the peak of high tide. Powerfully awesome to watch.
These are really different also. The while spots are teeny tiny flowers.
Next we drove a short distance south to Cooks Chasm to see the Spouting Horn.
Then we followed a path to another area I think was called Thor's Well. Tic got this great video below.
This is what he looked like after he was hit by the wave. It is hard to tell his jacket is completely soaked also. I could not stop my laugh when I saw him get hit by the wave. Bad wife!
We decided to drive on down the coast highway. Somewhere between Waldport and Florence, we suddenly came upon a tunnel. Tic was quick and got this picture.
This is the inside of the tunnel. Notice only part of the sides are concrete.
We decided to drive on down to Lakeside, OR by Tenmile Lake. We hope to meet Jessica and her family there in late July.
We stopped at a pullout and saw this beach. This area is the start of the Oregon Dunes National Recreational Area. Per the map it runs along the coast from just south of Florence to Coos Bay.
It was very foggy in this area. I believe this is the bridge at Coos Bay.
At Lakeside we saw several places to rent ATVs & sand buggies. Then we saw this area. Tic said he saw some ATVs on top just before he got this picture.
After we checked out some RV sites for late July, we headed home.
This is the harbor at Florence.
This is looking past the harbor on up the bay.
This is the bridge that crossed the bay at Florence.
Heading back northward, we got a different view of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. As you can tell it is foggy now.
Tic got this picture of Depoe Harbor. It had a sign saying it was the world's smallest harbor.
We decided to try another recommended restaurant for dinner.
This place is in Depoe, OR.
We each got a cup of their famous clam chowder. It was delicious.
Then we shared the stuffed salmon with veggies. This was my half of the dinner. Again, half was a nice portion.
Homeward bound. It has been a full day again!
