Lincoln City, OR Day 5

Tuesday, June 16, 2015

We slept in.  Today is a foggy day again.  We decided to take a short drive northward today just to be different.

I thought there was a scenic drive through the HB Van Duzer Forest State Scenic Corridor.  However there was not even one road.  We ended up in Neskowin.

In Neskowin we found this state beach.  It was cold to us but we walked a little way on the beach anyway.  We had on jackets and long pants.  Yet you can see people playing in the water and sunning on the beach.

We decided to head back south.  The next place to turn in was at Roads End.
This was the south entrance to the scenic corridor.  Big beach area here.

In Lincoln City, there was this pull out area and this was the view.  Interesting.  During low tide you could walk out to the rocks.
This is low tide.

We decided to drive a little ways past our RV park and see what there was to see.  We saw this tall pole with a LARGE bird's nest on it.
Tic zoomed in and this is what we saw.
We went back the next day in the morning and got this picture.  It is better because the sun is in a different place.  Now we can tell it is an osprey nesting.

As we were driving back to the RV park, we saw these flowers.
I've noticed these along many roadsides and wanted a picture.
Here is a close up of the flowers above.  They are so pretty.  They seem to grow everywhere like wildflowers.
