Cascade Springs, UT

Cascade Springs, UT
After leaving Bridal falls, we back tracked a little ways to find the mountain road that would take us to Cascade Springs.  I show you our destination first, then will back up to show the trip to get here.

 Mount Timpanogos, much closer now.

This is a look back at Sundance, another ski area.  Notice the bicyclists?  They are everywhere, even these narrow mountain roads.  People that live here are very attuned to the outdoors, even the silver-haired variety.

A look back into the valley.

So much beauty in this wilderness area.

Higher elevations show the fall colors the best.

Up among the aspens, these have not turned gold yet.

You make a turn in the road, and this view is revealed.  Best seen in person, but perhaps the photo gives some idea of the grandeur.

These next two photos show the red hillside.  We still have not arrived at the Cascade Springs.

Maple leaves, up close.  We are now at Cascade Springs walking three distinct loops.
These springs flow 2.7 million gallons of water every day.
This view is at the center loop.
This is the top of the springs.  A very wide area flowing with water, comes together to form a strong stream, then divides again near the lower loop.
And gathers at the lower loop to form serene pools of crystal clear water.

So we have left the Cascade Springs, and are taking an alternate route back to our RV.
We stopped here and ate our lunch at Deer Creek Overlook.
The signs said we were to be careful, because we were in bear country.  Woohoo!
I included this video to better show the Deer Creek Overlook.

Now we are at the Jordanelle Dam overlook.  The opposite shoreline is the Jordanelle State Park where we have our RV.
If you knew where to look, you would see our RV.  Wow, that telephoto lense works really well.

And finally, home at last, dinner taken care of, the blogger has to review and get her thoughts together. What better place than next to a campfire.
