Saturday, June 3, 2017 - Part 2
We are staying at Revelstoke Campground. I think it used to be a KOA.
Sites are fair in size with full hook ups. We even have cable, however it quit working.
As we drove into Revelstoke to go to the car show, we crossed over a large RR yard. The train runs close to the park quite frequently but does not blow its horn so is not too
obnoxious.
The following pictures are of a few of the cars at the car show. They were lined up on both sides of the street and cross street, forming a T. The craft show and Farmers Market were at one end, but they were starting to close up by the time we arrived.
Highly modified and "nice" Ford coupe with Ford engine.
Jeepsters are rare and this one is nicely restored.
Blues Brothers tribute, to be playing later in the day.
The discussion taking place around this old pickup was the size of the chainsaw!
Nice assortment of antique or classic cars.
Another relatively rare VW in remarkable condition.
Tic loves these old power wagons.
Extended cab? I do not remember these, but did not see any signage to explain if it was original or custom.
Very tidy installation of heater and A/C lines into the passenger compartment.
Days gone by, ....
Chevrolet engine, very well done.
Now you know this would be an incredible pick-up truck for towing a fifth-wheel! Or most anything else.
Originally, the Revelstoke Post Office is now the Revelstoke Museum. So much to see, so little time. Autumn would be a great time to return to see the trees turning.
The next blog post will be our drive through Mount Revelstoke National Park.
