British columbia, Canada, part 6 of 7

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

After the zip-line adventure, we wandered the camp grounds.  This is where we saw the amphitheater, the tree houses, and the other facilities, that I shared in an earlier post.  Our hosts had responsibilities to attend to, but when they were completed, we joined up to take a romantic walk in the forest.

Warm and very humid.

Ferns growing throughout the forest floor.  These fern fronds are 3 foot in length.

In places, the trail became very narrow.  Can you see the heavy growth of moss on the tree?

Our hosts, who volunteer at Stillwood, used to attend here as children themselves.  They told us that this small stream used to be much larger.  Another dry area!

Hugs and Hikes!  It is neat to have someone with you to take pictures of you, heh?  Sorry, picking up that heh thing, donchakno.
