Elma, WA

Saturday, Aug 1, 2015

Today we moved from Silverton, OR to Elma, WA.  This is the first time we have our home in the state of Washington.

We are looking forward to our time in WA.

Here we are, leaving Oregon and crossing the river into Washington State. We crossed several double bridges like these.

This is our parking site at Elma RV Park.  They are full tonight.  The streets & the sites could be a little wider but Tic got it backed in beautifully!

As we checked in, the lady told us about a car show in downtown Elma.  As soon as we had lunch we took off to see the car show.

We had not left the park when we saw this couple.  They had been at the car show, but chose to leave early.  They gave us specific directions to the car show.

All in all, for a small town event, it was pretty neat.  They had the main street blocked off, 50-60's music playing over loud speakers, B-B-Q, and cold water available.

Quite a variety of vehicles.  No idea how the judges made their final decision.

The food tray is a nice addition to this display.

1958 Edsel.  You don't see too many of these anymore.

A little Rash Nambler, I mean Nash Rambler.  And checkout the trailer.
This Corvair is unique, it has a V-8 in the back seat.  Noisy, but fun too!
And the Grand Prize winner, according to the judging.  Fun way to spend an hour on a hot afternoon.

Tomorrow we go to Chimacum, WA on the Olympic Peninsula.
