Ten Mile Lake Rental House in Lakeside, OR

Sunday - Thursday, July 26 - 30, 2015

The house our daughter and her family rented was on the side of a hill with a steep walk down to the boathouse.  This post will be mostly about the house.

It is a very curvy 6 mile drive from our RV park.  The first 4.5 miles are paved and the last 1.5 miles is gravel.  It took almost 25 minutes to make this 6 miles drive.

This magnificent eagle and fish chainsaw carving sat on a hillside on one of the curves on the way to the house.

I walked down to the boathouse to see if we might get cell phone service.  Tic is standing on the back deck of the house.

Can you see the lily pads between the boathouse and water's edge?  Tic got some great pictures.  Most were fully open but Tic found one partially open.  See below.
I did notice that once they got in the shade, the flowers closed up.

This is looking from the back door at the back deck of the house.

This is looking up at the house from the boathouse.  It was a very steep walk up to the house.

This is looking at the boathouse and house from on the water.  All in all it was a fun place.

These hydrangeas were growing on the back deck.  Beautiful flowers. Look at the closeup below.

These flowers were also on the back deck.  While the grounds were a bit overgrown it was pretty.

On the back porch ceiling of the boathouse, the mud martins made this nest.  Since a female martin would sit on the nest, I'm guessing there were eggs.  We did not ever look.

Here is our daughter Jessica and her beautiful family.  The wonderful man she married has 3 teenage boys.  Jessica is 13 weeks pregnant with her first child.  We are all excited!!
