As we drove through Leavenworth to our campground we noticed an outdoor art fair and lots of activity. So as soon as we got parked and level we headed to Leavenworth.
This picture was taken through the coach windshield. You will have to excuse the bug splat! ☺
The whole downtown area was full of Bavarian architecture.
I'm not going to say anything under most of the pictures.
There were lots of murals around. Some buildings had 2 or 3 murals on them.
Even carriage rides were offered.
The streets had many little gardens and lots of hanging flower pots. And tourists like us, everywhere!
This is the back side of a few of the buildings.
This is one of the many hotels in town.
We did not take the time for lunch when we parked and set up, so we were hungry. We decided to have a late lunch and call it both lunch and dinner.
We met a really nice local couple on the street and asked them where they liked to eat. This is were they liked to eat, so we decided to give it a try.
We are sitting at a table for 2 near the back of this tiny restaurant. Tic took this picture looking towards the front of the restaurant. We had a great meal in a romantic atmosphere. It was wonderful.
We headed home now. Walking in the outdoors was burning our eyes due to the smoke. This area looks like it would be gorgeous if there was not any smoke.
