Lincoln Rock State Park near E. Wenatchee, WA

Sunday, August 16, 2015 continued

If you remember, this was how the road looked just a few miles from the state park.

Since we made reservations at the state park and pre-paid for our stay, we were hoping the state park was open.
To our delight, the state park was open and we got our site.  It is a very long site.  The picnic table is behind the coach.  Nice wide spots and mostly level.  We even have 50 amp.

This is a very nice park.  Here is the amphitheaterThere are 3 loops for camping.  One loop is for tents only and the other two loops are any other kind of RV.

There are several paved walking paths through the park also.

We are headed across this large grassy area to the swimming area.  This campground is on the Columbia River.  Yes, the same Columbia River we saw in Oregon.

Above is the swimming area.  Below you can either dock your boat
or trailer it out.  I missed getting the ramp in the picture.

The sun is starting to set.  The smoke has a pink tinge to it.

The park is named Lincoln Rock.  We are not sure which rock is Lincoln Rock.  This rock is actually an island.

We wondered if this jagged edge looked like Lincoln from a boat in the water.

Nice park!   We would like to return here sometime in the future when there is no smoke.  It is a beautiful area. Next post will be the Bavarian town of  Leavenworth, WA.
