River Front Park in downtown Spokane, WA

Thursday, August 20, 2015

After we left Manito Park, we headed to River Front Park.

As we walked to the Spokane River part of the park, we saw this water display.

This bridge crossed the river at the edge of the park.  The water is flowing strong here.

These small falls were just downstream from the previous picture.

This shows the wider of the two falls and the bridge together.  Just below this was a one generator power plant originally built in the early 1900's.

On our way to the area of the park where the river has created a pools, we saw........
a huge hornets nest.  Fortunately we did not see any hornets active around the nest.

Isn't this a pretty picture of part of downtown? ☺

Looking one direction we see this canopy.  It turns out it covers an area with amusement rides.

Looking the other direction we saw this building.  It houses a merry-go-round.
Looks like the people were having a good. time.

This unique sculpture made of aluminum was in the water.  Different!

This "little" red wagon was in children's play area.  Of course Dusty had to climb inside.

This is a pretty view of the clock tower.

On the edge of the park was this tram.  We never found where to get on or where the trams went.

While we were on the freeway headed home, Tic got this shot from the Jeep.  I seem to recall that it is a Presbyterian Church.

Another fun filled day!
